 of strong wind will progress east over the next several hours.

PLYMOUTH — On the evening of June 13, 2026, at 9:30 p.m., Plymouth Police were dispatched to N. Seventh Street

for an unknown problem. Officers arrived on the scene and located two men in a physical altercation near the roadway.
Officers were able to detain both men, identified as Epson Desailid Reyes Rios, 18, and Etson N. Reyes, 49, both of Plymouth, and get them separated. Both were transported to the hospital for their injuries and then taken to the Marshall County Jail and charged with Domestic Battery.

Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

BOURBON — On June 12,​ 2026, at approximately 4:30 PM, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Deputies

responded to the report of an impaired or unsafe driver in the area of Lincoln Highway and King Road.
The vehicle ran off the roadway and into a fence. Upon a K-9 Deputy’s arrival,​ the driver was identified as 24-year-old Olivia Varney. Varney was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and transported to the Plymouth Hospital for a chemical test. Upon doing so,​ she was found to be over twice the legal limit of alcohol.
Varney was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, endangering a person, and operating a vehicle with an ACE of .15 or more. Olivia was issued a $1,​505 bond. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Bourbon Police Department.

PLYMOUTH – The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission will continue to look at funding in the coming year for an

airplane maintenance program as part of Plymouth Schools CTE programing.
The Board had previously heard a presentation on the program and had expressed interest. Jody and Jake Marohn of AlphaFlight came back to the board to say that funding was not as urgent as anticipated.
Jake Marohn told the board that the program is in it’s planning stages and that the $50,000 they requested would not actually be needed before the second year of the planned program in 2027.
Marohn told the board that the program would be a plus in the groups hope to land a site for Malloy Aeronautics to build planes at the Plymouth airport.

He also told the board that the program went further than just those that might want to work on airplanes.

PLYMOUTH —

Those are the words of Dr. Pamela Campbell, who was named by the Plymouth School Board as its new Superintendent at a special meeting on Monday night.

Campbell comes to Plymouth from Bethel University, where she served as Vice President of Finance and Administration and Covenant Christian School.
The contract for the new Superintendent was the subject of a public hearing just prior to her hiring. The base salary for the new contract is $161,800, with the total value after benefits at $189,693.
Campbell will take over duties on July 1, 2026.

PLYMOUTH — On June 13, 2026, Plymouth Officers were dispatched to Carriage Dr for a physical domestic disturbance.

It was determined that Isaiah Navejar had assaulted Jose Rosales, striking him in the head with a shovel, causing injuries.
Navejar was arrested and booked into the Marshall County jail for Domestic Battery with a deadly weapon, Domestic Battery resulting in moderate injury, and intimidation with a deadly weapon.

PLYMOUTH — On June 14th,​ 2026, at approximately 11:00 PM, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Deputies responded to a

theft in progress where the suspect vehicle left the scene.
Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the area of US 31 and Veterans Parkway. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 37-year-old Dustin Singleton. The passenger was identified as 44-year-old Heather Egger. During the traffic stop,​ K-9 Officer Diesel conducted an open-air sniff ​and alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and suspected drugs were located in the vehicle and on Egger’s person.
Investigating the reported theft, deputies determined that no theft occurred and that the incident was a civil matter. Singleton and Egger were transported to the Marshall County Jail. Egger was booked for unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe,​ possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug,​ possession of a controlled substance,​ and possession of marijuana with a prior drug conviction.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Indiana was priced at $2.85/g yesterday, while the most expensive was $5.79/g, a difference of $2.94/g.

PLYMOUTH — With the formulation of next year’s budget on the horizon, the Marshall County Commissioners voted to suggest

a raise for county employees of three percent in the coming year.
President of the Commissioners Stan Klotz pointed to other considerations in the decision.

Commissioner Jesse Bohannon also weighed in on the amount of the increase.

confirmed that an EF1 tornado hit Marshall County Thursday night.

A brief tornado spun up south of 8A on King Rd, uprooting or snapping multiple trees and causing damage to a barn. The tornado continued northeast, flipping a center pivot before entering a grove of trees, causing several snapped trees. The circulation moved quickly northeast, knocking down a few more trees north of 8A Rd. The tornado quickly lifted on the north side of 8A Rd after doing significant damage to a barn.
Additional damage has been found across the county, but appears to have been caused by straight-line winds. An area on the east side of Argos is still under consideration by the National Weather Service for a weak tornado, with a determination expected later.

PLYMOUTH — On June 8, 2026, at approximately 10:30 pm, Plymouth Police Officers responded to a call about a man who

appeared to be intoxicated and stumbling towards the wooded area at the rear of the Red “D” Mart.
Officers arrived on scene shortly after and located a male, 67-year-old Robert Mohn, at the rear of Red D Mart outside of the protective barrier in the wooded area hanging onto the edge of the dirt hill, above the river. Mohn resisted attempts at assistance by officers; however, he was brought back up to the road area. Mohn was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked and lodged for Public Intoxication.

PLYMOUTH — On Thursday,​ June 11,​ 2026,​ at approximately 10:51 a.m.,​ Marshall County Central Dispatch received a call

regarding a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Lincoln Highway and Pioneer Road,​ in Plymouth.
The caller advised that one of the vehicles had rolled over onto its side. When Officers arrived on the scene, it was learned that a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Karen Pearson, 64, of Plymouth, was stopped on the west side of the intersection headed east on Lincoln Highway.
As the Equinox was traveling through the intersection,​ it was struck by a northbound 2025 Volkswagen Jetta,​ driven by Gregory Little, 72,​ of Ohio,​ that failed to stop at the intersection.
The Equinox was struck on the passenger side,​ causing it to turn over and come to rest on the vehicle’s passenger side. In total,​ 4 people were transported to Plymouth Hospital to receive additional treatment for various complaints of pain.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted on scene by Plymouth Fire and EMS,​ Argos EMS,​ and Lyons Wrecker Service. ​

FULTON COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Rieth-Riley Construction Co Inc will have lane

closures on State Road 25 between C.R. 300 N and C.R. 375 N beginning on or after Monday, June 15.
State Road 25 will be reduced to one lane through mid-July for a small structure pipe lining project at McMahan Ditch. Temporary traffic signals will be installed to direct traffic.
INDOT urges drivers to stay alert near crews and be prepared to wait for the temporary traffic signal. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra time when driving through this area and should slow down and drive distraction-free through all work zones

PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth School Board has released agendas for a pair of meetings on Monday, June 15, 2026.

The first is a public hearing on the contract for the Corporation’s Superintendent, which will begin at 6 p.m.
Immediately following, the Board will have a special meeting to consider the hiring of the new Superintendent.
Those are the only items on the agenda. The meetings will be held in the Corporation meeting room at the Administration Building on the Plymouth High School campus.

LAPAZ — Marshall County Deputies were called to the intersection of 1st Rd. and Pine Rd. West of LaPaz for a two-vehicle

accident.
A Jeep Cherokee driven by Natashia Burkett, 33, of Rochester, was driving south on Pine Rd. ​ A GMC Sierra driven by Cooper Gean, 23, of Lakeville, was traveling east of 1st Rd. ​ Burkett ​drove into the path of Gean, resulting in a ​right-angle collision.
The collision caused Gean’s vehicle to roll into a field. Both drivers and a passenger in Gean’s vehicle were transported to Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
Polk Fire,​ Walkerton EMS,​ Lapaz Fire,​ and Gean’s Towing ​assisted at the scene of the collision.

PLYMOUTH — Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel has released the jail and arrest report for May.

As of June 5, 2026, there were 117 inmates in the jail, 22 on felony charges, 76 were pre-trial inmates. There were 92 men and 25 women, the average population of the jail in May was 120 inmates.
There are 1313 active warrants in the county.
Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies made 70 arrests, Plymouth Police 52, Culver Police 6, and Bremen Police 5.

PLYMOUTH — On June 9, 2026, at 6:05 p.m., Officers with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a

vehicle whose registered owner had a previously suspended license.
The registered owner was identified as Marcelino Pallanti, 62, of South Bend. While the officer was talking to him, he detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person and saw open containers in the vehicle.
The officer had him step out of the vehicle and located a marijuana pipe in his pocket. Pallanti advised that he had marijuana in the vehicle. Field sobriety testing was conducted, and Pallanti failed. Pallanti was given a portable breath test (PBT) and blew a .180. Pallanti was then placed under arrest for OWI and was given a certified test, and the results are pending.
During the search of the vehicle, several open containers were located along with THC gummies and marijuana. Pallanti was transported to Marshall County Jail and booked in for Felony OWI with a prior conviction, OWI, OWI endangerment, driving while suspended prior, no insurance with prior conviction, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.
