PLYMOUTH — On June 14th, 2026, at approximately 11:00 PM, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Deputies responded to a

theft in progress where the suspect vehicle left the scene.
Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the area of US 31 and Veterans Parkway. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 37-year-old Dustin Singleton. The passenger was identified as 44-year-old Heather Egger. During the traffic stop, K-9 Officer Diesel conducted an open-air sniff and alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and suspected drugs were located in the vehicle and on Egger’s person.
Investigating the reported theft, deputies determined that no theft occurred and that the incident was a civil matter. Singleton and Egger were transported to the Marshall County Jail. Egger was booked for unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana with a prior drug conviction.
Singleton was booked for unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, and possession of marijuana.

Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
