PLYMOUTH — On the morning of Aug. 28, 2026, at 8 am, Plymouth Police and Plymouth EMS were dispatched to W Jefferson St. in response to a battery that had allegedly taken place.

The victim was located and taken to the hospital for evaluation. An investigation took place, and the suspect was identified as Steven Bishop, 30, of Plymouth. Officers made attempts to make contact with Bishop, but were unsuccessful. At 12:10 pm, Bishop turned himself in at the Plymouth Police Department. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked for a preliminary charge of Battery Resulting in Bodily Injury.
Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
