PLYMOUTH — A 28-year-old Plymouth man faces multiple of criminal charges after police responded to a late-night disturbance at the Economy Inn early Saturday morning.

According to Plymouth Police, officers were dispatched to 2535 North Michigan Street — the Economy Inn — at approximately 2:37 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, following a 911 call reporting an intoxicated male subject with two children present. The caller reported the suspect was harassing and arguing with people at the location.
Officer Witkowski led the investigation, which resulted in 28-year-old Alex C. Upchurch of Plymouth being taken into custody and transported to Plymouth Hospital for jail clearance.
Upchurch was then transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked on six charges: public intoxication (alcohol and/or drugs), disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement, intimidation, neglect of a dependent, and battery on a law enforcement officer.
