The Marshall County Commissioners voted unanimously on Tuesday, September 8th, to apply for the 2027 Community Crossings Matching Grant, seeking $1 million in state funding for three road improvement projects across the county.
The deadline to submit projects for next year’s Community Crossings Matching Grant program is September 30th. A financial commitment letter is required with the application, and the county’s local share would be $250,000 when applying for the full funding of $1 million.
Superintendent Peters recommended three projects for submittal, all of which the commissioners approved:
Donnybrook Subdivision
3rd Road, from State Road 331 to Elm Road
Elm Road, from 3B Road to the town limits
