Traffic stop brings arrest for two

PLYMOUTH — On July 31, 2026, at 6:26 p.m., Officers with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a

vehicle whose registered owner was a habitual traffic violator.
The vehicle owner was identified as Karie Beaird, 55 years old, of Rochester. The officer stopped the vehicle at US 30 and US 31. Beaird was driving and was taken into custody for driving while a habitual traffic violator.
The officer could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and the passenger stepped out and was found to be intoxicated. The passenger was identified as Christopher Harper, 55 years old, of North Judson.
During the search of the vehicle, marijuana was located, along with marijuana pipes. Both parties were placed under arrest for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and transported to Marshall County Jail.

Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
