LaPAZ — On Aug. 5, 2026, at 4:14 p.m., the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 hang-up call in the 3,000 block
of Michigan Road.
The dispatch center was unable to make contact with anybody over the phone, and they began sending messages to the phone. It was learned through these messages that a physical domestic incident was occurring.
Deputies arrived on scene and located the suspect, Javier Figueroa, 25, as he was attempting to leave the residence. Further investigation led to the arrest of Javier Figueroa for intimidation with a deadly weapon, domestic battery in the presence of a child, and OWI.
Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
