PLYMOUTH — Commissioner Jesse Bohannon updated the Marshall County Commissioners on his efforts in the dissolution of the Marshall County Sewer District.

Bohannon told the Commissioners that he had delivered a letter to Indiana Governor Mike Braun to personally look into the issue, and that he and Marshall County Council Persons Tim Harmon and Nicole Cox had then gone on to a meeting with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management on the issue.
IDEM will make the final decision on whether or not the Sewer District will be dissolved in Marshall County, and Bohannon felt confident that the request to dissolve the board would be approved, but said it wasn’t a certainty.
In a related vote, the Commissioners suspended the rules to pass on all three readings a resolution to repeal current sewer standards in Marshall County, saying the new resolution takes them to “default standards” of the state.
