On March 8, at approximately 12:30 a.m. ET, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident in the area of 18B and Pine Road.
Deputies identified the driver as 29-year-old Gage Meeker. Upon investigating the scene, it was found that the vehicle had run off the roadway, impacted a utility pole, and rolled multiple times into a field.
Police say Meeker was suspected of operating the vehicle while intoxicated and was transported to the hospital for a chemical test, which showed him to be over twice the legal limit for alcohol.
Meeker was booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction, and operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15 or More.
The Argos Police Department and Argos EMS assisted the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
