Suspect Arrested for Driving while Intoxicated

Rendell Lawson

One person was arrested Friday, February 14 after deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the 10000 block of Cardinal Circle for a suicidal male that was reported by the Veterans Crisis Hotline.

The man was later located by a Bourbon Police Officer parked in the area of 12B Road and Iris Road. Police say the driver and sole occupant, Rendell G. Lawson, quickly left the area. Lawson finally stopped at 12th Road and Jute Road. Alcohol containers were reportedly found in the vehicle.

Marshall County deputies conducted an investigation for operating while intoxicated. A certified test was completed and showed that Rendell was allegedly over twice the legal limit.

Rendell was booked and lodged in the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a BAC of .15 or greater. He was given a cash bond of $1,500.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
