
The Bremen Town Council approved a bid for the upcoming Community Crossings Matching Grant project when they met Monday, February 24.
Town Attorney Anthony Wagner opened bids for the Community Crossings project last month that was awarded funds in the 2024-2 call for projects. The project includes the full depth reconstruction of Grant Street from Bowen Avenue to Marshall Street including water main replacement, new storm sewer, hot mix asphalt pavement, concrete curbs, sidewalks, curb ramps, pedestrian table, pavement markings, signage and lighting.
HRP Construction, Inc. submitted a total bid of $1,677,000, Milestone Contractors submitted a total bid of $1,736,810, and Phend and Brown submitted a total bid of $2,022,008.50.
The council members voted unanimously to accept the lowest bid from HRP on the recommendation from JPR, the town’s engineering firm.
