Public Intoxication

On Jan. 27 at 2 a.m. ET, Plymouth Police Department officers were dispatched to a business on N Michigan St. for an unresponsive person in the bathroom.

Witnesses said a man entered the restroom and had not exited for over an hour. When police arrived on the scene, the door was locked, and no response was given from inside. The officers forced their way into the restroom, where they found Victor Yakas, 65, of Plymouth standing in a corner. Police say Yakas showed signs of impairment and allegedly openly admitted to being under the influence of a narcotic.

Yakas was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
