Cold Weather Advisory Continues through Wednesday

The National Weather Service has issued a cold weather advisory that continues until 10 a.m. ET/9 a.m. CT Wednesday, January 22.

Wind chills are forecast to reach 25 below zero which could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures for prolonged periods.

Weather officials urge caution when being active outside. Wear appropriate clothing including a coat, hat and gloves. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Use portable heaters correctly and do not use generators or grills inside.
