The Bremen Town Council members will welcome a new town council member when they meet for the first time today.
David H. Bailey was chosen as the fifth Town Council member after an application and selection process, followed by a vote by the Town Council.
Bremen voters voted “yes” to the public question on the November General Election ballot that asked if the Town of Bremen should add a fifth council member. There had been four members on the council for many years with the Clerk-Treasurer acting as a tie-breaking vote.
Bremen Clerk-Treasurer Meghan Atkins swore Bailey into office Wednesday, January 8.
The Bremen Town Council members will meet for the first time in 2025 today at 4:30 p.m. ET at the Bremen Town Hall at 104 W. Plymouth Street.
