A three-vehicle accident on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 3:53 p.m. ET, sent three people to the hospital, one was airlifted.
Police say a semi-tractor driven by James J. Doyle, 56, was eastbound on U.S. 30 at the Queen Rd. intersection when it struck a Honda Civic driven by Victor Villanueva Seville, 19, causing him to then strike a Jeep Cherokee driven by Lexi D. Simpson, 28.
All three vehicles came to rest in the median causing the semi to roll, losing its load across all lanes of U.S. 30, closing the highway until 9:45 p.m. ET.
The two occupants of the Jeep were taken by ambulance to a regional hospital, and the lone occupant of the Honda was airlifted to a regional hospital.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Indiana State Police and the Indiana Department of Transportation.
