Two Warsaw women were arrested Sunday, November 3 after officers from the Plymouth Police Department were called to a suspicious vehicle call in the area of 300 Pennsylvania Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. ET.
The caller reported that a man and a woman were walking away from the vehicle, and were located by police officers in the 200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. While investigating the circumstances, police say it was quickly determined that both the man and woman were intoxicated. The woman allegedly repeatedly refused to give her name and was later identified as Jessica Jimenez, 23, of Warsaw. Jimenez was found to have outstanding warrants for her arrest.
Jiminez was taken into custody for the warrants and for additional preliminary charges of public intoxication and obstruction of justice.
While officers were investigating the circumstances involving the parked vehicle in a random driveway, a woman drove up to the scene and began to interfere with the investigation and refused to leave the area, according to the report. The female driver was identified as Alejandra Delcid, 31, of Warsaw. Police say Delcid was detained and later found to have a blood alcohol level of more than .20% BAC. Delcid was taken into custody on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated over .15 and encroachment.
Both Jimenez and Delcid were transported and lodged at the Marshall County Jail.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
