The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated a report of a 20-year-old man being shot at a residence within the 3,000 black of Tamarack Road Sunday, November 3 at about 1 a.m. ET.
Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Walkerton Police Department responded. The man was treated at the scene and later transported to a regional hospital for life-threatening injuries.
Cole Enyeart, 22, of Mishawaka, was arrested on a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness. Also at the property, Xochltl Soto, 20, of Elkhart, was arrested on a preliminary charge of illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, along with Alexander W. Renfroe, 20, of Elkhart, who had the added preliminary charge of possession of marijuana.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
