Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety, City Council to Meet Tonight

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet tonight where they will open bids for sidewalk projects.


The board will also hear updates from department heads as necessary.

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 6 p.m. ET tonight followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. ET.

The Plymouth City Council will hold a public hearing on additional appropriation requests with the consideration of those appropriations in a resolution later in the meeting.

The council will discuss a certified proposal to amend the official zoning map, and amend the 2024 salary ordinance. They will review a resolution declaring certain real estate to be within an Economic Revitalization Area for the Plymouth Industrial Development Corporation. A Commercial Revitalization Rebate Program grant will be presented by Tim Harman and Harman Restaurants, Inc, and a resolution will be reviewed that would approve an order of the Plymouth Plan Commission.

The council will hold discussion on energy conservation, and Ed Rodriguez will have an update on the PRIDE card. City Attorney Jeff Houin will also have updates on ONE Marshall County and the Comprehensive Plan.

Both meetings will be held in the second floor Council Chambers room in the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth. Those interested in attending the meeting in person should enter the building through the Garro Street entrance.
