During the summer months, the Marshall County Parks and Recreation Board approved the construction of a pavilion to welcome visitors to Memorial Forest. The property is located at 18452 14th Road south of Plymouth at the corner of 14th Road and State Road 17.

During the last meeting of the park board November 7, Secretary Debbie VanDeMark said the concrete is poured and the framing and trusses were up but the metal wasn’t on at the time. As of Tuesday, November 12, metal was on the roof of the pavilion.
The board approved an invoice from Langfeldt in the amount of $19,438 upon completion of the metal. The invoice was $600 more than quoted as three truckloads of fill dirt had to be included for proper construction.
