Deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two-vehicle accident Friday, November 8.
Police say 43-year-old Maria Mendez was southbound on U.S. 31 approaching 12th Road in the driving lane when she looked down and struck the rear of a 2003 Ford F-150 driven by Rodger Walker.
Walker said he was southbound on U.S. 31 in the driving lane when he turned on his signal to turn right onto 12th Road and started to merge into the shoulder when his vehicle was rear-ended.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Indiana State Police and Plymouth EMS and Fire.
