Marshall County Sheriff Releases Statistics for October

Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel recently released the department statistics and jail statistics for October 2024.

The top offenses for the month include operator never licensed, operating while intoxicated, failure to appear, possession of marijuana, driving while suspended, possession of paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, domestic battery, resisting law enforcement and theft.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department had 77 arrests, Plymouth Police Department had 50 arrests, Bremen Police Department had 11 arrests, Culver Police Department had 6 arrests, Indiana State Police had 6 arrests, Bourbon Police Department had 5 arrests, Community Corrections had 2 arrests, Argos Police Department had 1 arrest, LaPaz Police had 1 arrest.

There were 105 accidents in August, 121 warning/citations issued, 25 security checks, and 110 case reports.

The 911 Central Dispatch received a total of 4,447 calls in October with 1,278 of those calls to 911. There were 1,263 service calls for the Sheriff’s Department.

The jail population on November 8 was 119. The average October 2024 jail population was 135.

There are 1,275 active warrants in the county.
