Driver Arrested after Marshall County Traffic Stop

A Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputy initiated a traffic stop on a beige 2004 Pontiac van in the area of 9A Road and U.S. 31 at about 4:22 p.m. ET Thursday, October 10.

During an investigation, the deputy found that the driver, 33-year-old Robert M. Duran, Jr., was operating a vehicle with a driving status of suspended and that he was in possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia, according to the report.

He was taken to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
