A Walkerton man was arrested Thursday, September 26 after deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated a two-vehicle accident on Tamarack Road north of U.S. 6.
Officers arrived on scene where no one involved was injured. An investigation was conducted where police say one of the drivers, 33-year-old Kevin Diaz, of Walkerton, never had a driver’s license. He was arrested and transported to the hospital for jail clearance. Once cleared from the hospital, he was transported to the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
