A Plymouth man was arrested Wednesday, September 25 after officers from the Plymouth Police Department and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department were called to the Economy Inn for an unknown disturbance.
John Matlock was located who officers knew to have active warrants for his arrest.
When officers attempted to detain Matlock, he reportedly fought and resisted arrest. He was detained and methamphetamine was found on his person, according to the report.
Matlock was arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement and possession of methamphetamine along with his warrants.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
