Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety, City Council to Meet Tonight

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet tonight where the members will have a contract discussion concerning the water improvement project with TGB Unlimited.

The board will also review a resolution that would establish the trick-or-treat date and time for 2024.

Plymouth Community School Corporation Director of Safety and Security Ward Byers will request a flashing pedestrian sign, and a request will be made by the Plymouth Fire Department to close a street.

Department heads will provide reports as necessary.

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 6 p.m. ET tonight, followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m.

The Plymouth City Council members will open a public hearing concerning a tax abatement request from Bomarko.

An ordinance for appropriations and tax rates will be considered on second and third readings, and City Attorney Jeff Houin will present proposed job descriptions.

A resolution will be considered for approval that would confirm the adoption of a declaratory resolution designating certain real estate to be within an Economic Revitalization Area for purposes of personal property tax abatement for Bomarko, Inc. The council will also consider a resolution for a Commercial Revitalization Rebate Program grant.

Updates will be given on ONE Marshall County and the Comprehensive Plan.

Both meetings will be held in the second floor Council Chambers room in the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street. Those interested in attending the meeting in person should enter the building through the Garro Street entrance.
