Chicago Man Arrested after Plymouth Traffic Stop

A Chicago man was arrested Thursday, September 12 after a Plymouth Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at U.S. 30 and Oak Drive due to a broken tail light.

During the stop, it was discovered that the driver, 35-year-old Carlos Robles, had a warrant for his arrest and never had a valid driver’s license. Police say the odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. A vehicle search yielded 67.3 grams of suspected marijuana, along with various paraphernalia items.

Robles was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, operator never licensed and his outstanding warrant.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
