The Bremen Town Council members adopted the town’s 2025 budget during their meeting Monday, September 23.
They unanimously approved an ordinance that refers to the 2025 budget thus adopting the ordinance.
According to the Notice to Taxpayers on the Indiana Gateway website, the Casino/Riverboat Fund is at $200,000, the Rainy Day Fund is at $300,000, the General Fund is about $3.5 million, the Debt Service Fund is at $99,200, Local Road and Street is about $63,000, Motor Vehicle Highway at about $1.1 million, Municipal Fire and Emergency Medical Services at about $256,000, Park and Recreation just under $380,000, Cemetery Fund at about $327,000, Cumulative Capital Improvement at about $39,000, Cumulative Capital Development at $300,000, Redevelopment General Fund at about $1.7 million, Law Enforcement Continuing Education at $10,000, and Cemetery/Perpetual Care at $30,000.
The total estimated budget is about $8.4 million.
The budget now goes to the Department of Local Government Finance for final review and any cuts that may need to be made.
