Two people were arrested Sunday, August 18 just before 5 a.m. ET after deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department were called to the area of the Pretty Lake apartments for reports of an occupied suspicious vehicle parked in the parking area.
During an investigation, a deputy detected the odor of marijuana emitting from within the vehicle, as well as suspected narcotics on the floorboard, according to the report. Police say a search of the vehicle resulted in the location of suspected cocaine and controlled substance pills.
A suspect located in one of the apartments allegedly admitted to possessing the controlled substance pills in the vehicle.
The driver, 20-year-old Isaac A. Navejar, and 21-year-old Tate A. Dunsizer were taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail. Once at the jail, Navejar was found to have additional cocaine and pills hidden on his person, according to the report.
Navejar was booked on preliminary charges of possession of cocaine, possession of a schedule I-V controlled substance and possession of a legend drug. Dunsizer was booked on preliminary charges of possession of a schedule I-V controlled substance and possession of a legend drug.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
