
Officers with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 30 east of Oak Drive Saturday, July 27 on a vehicle for reporteldy traveling 78 mph in a 60-mph zone.
The driver was identified as Cristian Rangel Lopez, 25, of Elgin, Illinois.
Rangel Lopez was found to only have a temporary visitor driver’s license out of Illinois and had never had a driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of operator never licensed.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
