A Marshall County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person and vehicle in the area of Sycamore Road and State Road 17 Saturday, August 3 at 11:15 p.m. ET.
Upon arrival, the K-9 Deputy made contact with a male subject in the vehicle who was identified as 51-year-old Alexander Pranger. Pranger was found to have an active warrant through Starke County.
During the K-9 Deputy’s investigation, police say suspected drugs were located in the vehicle. Pranger was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on a preliminary charge of possession of a legend drug and his active warrant.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
