A motorcycle driver was arrested Tuesday, August 13 around 9:30 p.m. ET after deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department checked on a man with a motorcycle that was driving erratically.
Police say the driver, 71-year-old Robert Erickson, told them he ran out of fuel. Deputies noticed that Erickson showed signs of impairment, according to the report.
Tests were offered and taken by Erickson including a certified blood test. It was reportedly found that Erickson had a blood alcohol content of .154%. He was arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
