An Indianapolis woman was arrested Friday, August 16 around 4 p.m. ET following a traffic stop in Marshall County.
A Marshall County Sheriff’s Department K9 deputy responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver traveling northbound on U.S. 31 from State Road 110. A traffic stop was conducted in the area of U.S. 31 and 5A Road.
During the traffic stop, police say suspected narcotics, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle.
The driver, 29-year-old Cache Morris, was suspected of operating a vehicle while intoxicated by a controlled substance and transported to the hospital for a chemical test. She was later arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in the body.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
