A driver was arrested Saturday, August 17 just after 4 a.m. ET after a homeowner in the 6,000 block of Underwood Road reported to police that vehicle was stopped in the homeowner’s front yard.
A deputy with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to the call and found the driver asleep in the driver’s seat. Police say it was found that the driver, John Drews, had been drinking. Drew complied with the offering of field sobriety tests and a certified test. He was taken for a certified breath test and gave a breath sample of .155%, according to the report.
Drews was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
