South Bend Woman Arrested for Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated

A South Bend woman was arrested Thursday, July 4 after Plymouth Police Department officers responded to the Arby’s Restaurant for a suspected impaired driver in the drive-thru.

Officers located 46-year-old Tara Warner in her vehicle which was blocking the drive-thru exit. Police say it was found that Warner was highly intoxicated. She was transported to the hospital for a certified chemical test which reportedly showed that she was three times over the legal limit.

Warner was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was booked on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction, operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a BAC of .15 or higher.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
