A Bremen man was arrested Tuesday, June 25 after the Plymouth Police Department was notified about a report of a man following a female by the Plymouth High School.
The call was reported at about 10:40 p.m. ET. Police arrived in the area and witnesses pointed out the suspect as he was driving away, according to the report. A traffic stop was initiated in the area of Baker and Fairbanks Streets.
The driver, 27-year-old Hector M. DeLeon-Colon, had reportedly followed and circled the immediate area where the female victim was for about 30 minutes, as told to police by the victim and witnesses. Witnesses also reported that when they confronted the driver, he allegedly made threats. Police say he was also disorderly during the officer’s investigation.
DeLeon-Colon was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked on preliminary charges of stalking, intimidation and disorderly conduct.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
