Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety, City Council to Meet Tonight

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet tonight where they are anticipated to open bids for the Water Street Townhomes project.

Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson will present the water improvement project agreements before the board members for approval, and the fire chief will have a new member to swear in.

The board will discuss a Memorandum of Understanding regarding stormwater and drainage guarantees, and a Memorandum of Understanding for the issuance of a building permit. Police officer discipline will also be discussed.

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet tonight at 6 p.m. ET, followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. ET.

The council will open a public hearing concerning the additional appropriations resolution when they meet tonight with the consideration of that resolution later in the meeting.

The board will discuss an ordinance that would annex approximately eight acres of real estate in the area of Bayless Street and a fiscal plan for providing municipal services of a capital and non-capital nature in support of the annexation.

The council will also discuss a new national opioid settlement notice, and donations for the Mayor’s Summer of Music.

A resolution will be considered that would recommend the issuance of a permit for Hambone LLC to sell alcoholic beverages at 213 E. Jefferson Street within the Plymouth Riverfront District.

Both meetings will be held in the second floor Council Chambers room in the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street. Those interested in attending the meeting in person should enter the building through the Garro Street entrance.
