A South Bend man was arrested Friday, July 19 after an officer with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department observed a vehicle driving erratically on U.S. 30 east near Pioneer Drive.
Upon performing a traffic stop on the vehicle, police say probable cause was found that the driver, 19-year-old Noe Augusto Garcia Palma, of South Bend, was operating a vehicle without a license.
He was arrested at the scene and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was lodged on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle without a license.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
