A Plain City, Ohio woman was arrested Monday, July 15 after a Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of U.S. 30 near Elm Road.
The deputy spotted a blue passenger car traveling east at a very high rate of speed which led to the traffic stop. The vehicle was checked at 103 mph.
During the traffic stop, police say the driver, 19-year-old Meredith E. Decroce Walsh, of Plain City, Ohio was the lone occupant in the vehicle. The deputy found a small amount of suspected marijuana and fraudulent identification, according to the report.
She was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of forgery, possession of marijuana, and reckless driving.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Bourbon Police Department.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
