Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Investigates Three-Vehicle Crash

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to a three-vehicle crash Friday, July 12 at 4:48 p.m. ET in the area of State Road 10 and U.S. 31.

Police say evidence and witness statements showed that a 1999 Ford Econoline van driven by 75-year-old William Halliar of Michigan City was traveling north on U.S. 31. He swerved to avoid a collision with a different vehicle and struck a 2019 Ford EcoSport driven by 30-year-old Lindsay Wilson of Kewanna, which caused damage to a 2022 Honda CRV driven by 36-year-old Amanda Corder of Westfield, according to the report. A passenger in the van, 73-year-old Jeannie Halliar of Michigan City was airlifted from the scene with incapacitating injuries, while William Halliar and Lindsay Wilson were transported by ambulance to a regional hospital for minor injuries.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Argos Police Department, Argos EMS, Argos Fire Department, Culver EMS, Plymouth Fire Department, and Samaritan Air.
