Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel recently released the department statistics and jail statistics for June 2024.
The top 10 offenses for the month include possession of marijuana, failure to appear, operating while intoxicated, possession of paraphernalia, operator never licensed, possession of methamphetamine, disorderly conduct, probation violation, public intoxication, and driving while suspended.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department had 71 arrests, Plymouth Police Department had 26 arrests, Indiana State Police had 13 arrests, Bremen Police Department had 12 arrests, Culver Police Department had 4 arrests, Community Corrections had 3 arrests, Argos Police Department had 3 arrests, DNR had 1 arrest, and the Bourbon Police Department had 1 arrest.
There were 53 accidents in June, 93 warning/citations issued, 14 security checks, and 73 case reports.
The 911 Central Dispatch received a total of 4,142 calls in June with 1,328 of those calls to 911. There were 1,079 service calls for the Sheriff’s Department.
The jail population on July 10 was 130. The average June 2024 jail population was 131.
There are 1,336 active warrants in the county.
