The three-day Culver Lake Fest event opens today in the Town of Culver.
Booths will open at 4 p.m. ET today that feature food, arts, and crafts until 10 p.m. ET. They will open at 9 a.m. ET Saturday and Sunday.
Registration will open for the fishing tournament at 4 p.m. with the event at 5 p.m., The flag ceremony and Salute the Troops event is at 4:30 p.m. outside of the Lions Club Depot building. A salute will go to those have served, are currently serving, and preparing to serve in the U.S. Military. Ryleigh Carr, a 21 Gun Volley, will be the keynote speaker, and the current VFW Post 6919 members will participate along with the Auxiliary. The Miss Maxinkuckee pageant is at 6 p.m. ET at the Damore Amphitheater with the crowing at 7 p.m. The Point’n Fingers Band will play at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday’s activities include the all you can eat pancake breakfast hosted by the Culver Lion’s Club at the Depot at 8 a.m., the 5K Waves of Freedom Run/walk at 8 a.m. ET, the Culver Farmers Market at 9 a.m., the 40th annual parade “Igniting the Memories” at 10 a.m., live music from Night Shift at 11 a.m. at the west pavilion stage, family contests at noon coordinated by the Culver Community Swim Team, BINGO at 1 p.m., the Fireman’s Waterball Contest at 1:30 p.m. at the Culver-Union Township Fire Department Building, registration for the cornhole tournament is at 3 p.m. with the event at 4 p.m. at the basketball courts at the west end of the town park, live entertainment from Almost There begins at 3 p.m., a hot dog eating contest at 3:30 p.m., the talent show is from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., 30 South will play from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the Lakefest Fireworks Show from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. with a live MAX 98.3 FM broadcast. The fireworks display will begin around 10 p.m. ET.
Sunday’s activities include the all you can eat pancake breakfast at the Culver Lion’s Club, the car show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Namaste on the Beach Yoga inside the Culver Beach Lodge at 9 a.m., Citizens Church service in the park at 10 a.m., the free throw contest registration at 11 a.m. with the event at noon, live entertainment from Malachi Jaggers at 11 a.m., and the car show awards at 3 p.m. ET.
The Culver Lake Fest ends at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 21.
