A Walkerton Police Department officer was not injured after crashing his patrol car while responding to a call.
According to the Walkerton Police Department, Officer Adam Kraning was responding to a call for assistance to another officer after that officer was called to an incident of a physical fight with a suspect the officer was attempting to arrest. While responding, Officer Kraning drove through the curve in the 1200 block of Harrison Street and lost control of his patrol car and it left the roadway and struck a utility pole, according to the report.
Officer Kraning was not injured in the crash.
The accident is currently still under investigation by the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department.
