Summer renovation work will begin in the next week or so at the Culver Community School Corporation, according to Superintendent Karen Shuman.
“So, we are in the approval stage of all of the design elements right now and they hope to begin the second week of June at the Elementary and tearing down bathrooms,” said Shuman. “They will move to the High School somewhere at the end of June to work on remodeling three different classroom areas.”
Shuman said crews will be renovating restrooms at the Elementary School, renovating the Middle School Science Lab, adding a media production and an applied skills classrooms, and address other plumbing, fixtures, water lines, and other needs.
The remainder of bond proceeds from last year’s project were allocated to pay for the updates in this round of projects. There is about $1 million available for this work.
