The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated a two-vehicle accident with injuries Thursday, June 6 just after 1:30 a.m. ET in the area of U.S. 30 at the Lincoln Highway intersection.
Police say a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Aldo A. Sanchez Quijano of Worth, Illinois was traveling west on U.S. 30 in the passing lane when he apparently fell asleep causing his vehicle to drift into the right lane. His vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Jamar Howard of Indianapolis.
Quijano did not report any injuries, but Howard had pain in his back and in his neck, according to the report. Howard was transported by ambulance for evaluation and treatment.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Plymouth Fire Department, Plymouth EMS, Starke County Sheriff’s Department and Starke County EMS.
