The Bremen Town Council members opened bids Monday afternoon for Community Crossings Matching Grant projects.
Four bids were received for asphalt milling and hot mix asphalt resurface, hot mix asphalt reconstruction, concrete curb, sidewalk and curb ramp reconstruction on portions of West Mill Street, North Baltimore Street, South Whitlock Street, and South East Street.
E&B Paving submitted a bid of $498,115.30, Milestone Contractors submitted a bid of $569,576.70, Rieth Riley Construction submitted a bid of $443,727, and Niblock Excavating submitted a bid of $538,931.50.
The council unanimously approved a motion to allow the town’s engineering firm, JPR, to review the bids for the future approval of the lowest responsible bid.
