A traffic stop lead to the arrest of two Niles, Michigan residents on drug charges.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy initiated a traffic stop Thursday, May 9 at 12:30 a.m. ET in the area of U.S. 30 and Iris Road. Police say a probable cause search of the vehicle was completed and the officer located suspected marijuana and methamphetamine.
The driver of the vehicle, Ryan A. Lusher, was taken into custody for possession of marijuana. The passenger, Janet P. Adams, was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine.
They were both transported to the Marshall County Jail.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
