An arrest was made Monday, May 20 after Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a call of a possible impaired driver traveling westbound on 9A Road from U.S. 31.
Deputies were able to observe the vehicle drive into the Marathon Gas Station at N. Michigan Street and Jefferson Street in Plymouth. The officer made contact with the driver, Zachary D. Hodge. Police say the driver was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol. Field sobriety testing was completed and a blood draw reportedly showed him to be over two times the legal limit.
Hodge was arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was processed for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
