A Plymouth man was arrested Saturday, May 4 after a Plymouth Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Markley and Oak Drive around 3 a.m. ET.
The officer was traveling in the area of U.S. 30 and Pioneer when he heard and observed two vehicles doing a burnout and began to race down U.S. 30, according to the report. Officers were able to catch up to the vehicles as they turned south on Oak Drive.
During the traffic stop, police say one driver, 22-year-old Anthony J. Humes, of Plymouth, was allegedly found to be impaired and was taken into custody. He was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
