
A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries after colliding with a deer Tuesday, April 30 in Marshall County.
Indiana State Police Troopers responded to a crash involving a motorcyclist and a deer Tuesday morning at approximately 5:40 a.m. on Nutmeg Road. Preliminary investigation indicates that 71-year-old Michael Reece, of Culver, was riding a green and black 1997 Harley Davidson southbound on Nutmeg Road, just north 16thRoad when he collided with a deer. Reece lost control of the motorcycle after this collision and slid before coming to rest, according to the report.
Police say Reece was transported by Argos EMS to a waiting Samaritan helicopter that transported him to a regional hospital. Reece suffered injuries that are considered serious, but not life-threatening.
Reece was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the report.
