About 20 percent of the registered voters in Marshall County voted early or visited a polling site Tuesday, May 7 for the Primary Election.
Several contested races were featured on the Republican ballot. For Marshall County Commissioner in District 2, Adam Faulstich came out ahead with the most votes followed by Mike Burroughs and Steven Gorski. For Marshall County Commissioner in District 3, it was Jesse Johannon gathering the most votes over opponent Francis K. Ellert.
Voters were asked to vote for three candidates in the Republican Marshall County Council At-Large race and the top three candidates were Tim Harman, Jim Masterson and Brandon S. Schadek.
For Precinct Committeeman in Center 2, it was Linda Starr defeating Sharon Gilles; for Precinct Committeeman in Center 4, it was Steven Gorski defeating Mechelle L. Longanecker; for Precinct Committeeman in Center 6, it was Ruth Vanvactor over Cynthia R. Casper; for Precinct Committeeman in German 1, it was Jonathon Monhaut defeating Brian Teall; for Precinct Committeeman in German 2 it was Tim Harman over Jennifer Holmes; for Precinct Committeeman in German 4 it was Jon Bohannon over Daniel R. Holmes; for Precinct Committeeman in German 5, Matthew K. Hassel defeated Creighton Prawat; for Precinct Committeeman in Green, it was Kevin Dunham over Donald Nunemaker Jr.; for Precinct Committeeman in North 2 it was Mike Delp over Scott Read; for Precinct Committeeman in Polk 1 it was Pamela McMahan over Pamela Tetzlaff; for Precinct Committeeman in Union 1, it was Sean Martin Surrisi over William C. Cleavenger; for Precinct Committeeman in Walnut 2 it was Mandy Campbell over Colleen Stephenson; and for Precinct Committeeman in West 2 it was Shannon Lunetta over Thomas J. McFadden and Lynn M. Fitzpatrick.
There were no contested races on the Democratic ballot.
